Our Story: Born in the Heart of Old Benidorm
Benidorm is famous worldwide for its beaches and skyline — but the city’s true soul lives in its Casco Antiguo. This neighbourhood, with its cobbled alleys, whitewashed facades, and blue ceramic details, was originally a medieval fishing village long before the tourism boom of the 1960s. Its narrow streets were protected as a cultural heritage zone precisely because they hold the real identity of the city.
It is in this unique setting that Tapería La Mina was born. Our name pays homage to the mining heritage of the region — la mina means “the mine” — a symbol of hard work, authenticity, and digging deep for what truly matters. That is exactly what we do with our food: we go deeper, use the best fresh ingredients, and craft every tapa with care and passion.
